Loneliness Can Make You A Happy Person

Loneliness can make you a happy person

If we drew a map of emotions and situations, we would realize that loneliness and unhappiness are very close to each other. This closeness is not only related to unhappiness in the first place, because it is also very common to feel sorry for someone who seems isolated.

However, this is far from reality. Loneliness can only be seen as a burden when it is imposed, when a person wants social support but does not find it. This loneliness has a lot to do with the natural need to describe, speak and tell a part of our story.

That’s why it’s so harmful to older people. They feel that they have accumulated wisdom that they need to share, which is why they are so grateful when we spend time with them. The grief that comes with forced loneliness also has a lot to do with time and the feeling that we may not be valuable enough for someone to spend time with us.

On the other side of the scale is chosen loneliness: the need to escape the social noise. The effort to distance oneself to get clarity, as if everything we see up close is blurred. This kind of loneliness is what makes us independent and provides us with resources to enjoy and be fulfilled, even though we only rely on ourselves.

If you are a person who loves loneliness and living alone in your home, then you have probably got used to being the person you worry about the most. Right now, you might be weighing the benefits of loneliness versus sharing your life with someone.

You are probably thinking about the possibility of choosing your own plans, of not having to give explanations or of being able to make spontaneous decisions. On the other hand, there is the security you would get from having unconditional support, the well-being that comes from sharing or being able to delegate parts of your housework.

There are people for whom this daily loneliness is a temporary situation, while others choose to have it forever. The important thing, no matter what group you belong to, is that it is your choice. Not one you have to accept because you do not have the chance to live differently.

It is said that loneliness helps you grow as a person and get to know yourself better. But remember that this will not be true if you dive into the frustration of not getting rid of loneliness and obsessively start looking for an escape route.

If you learn to put up with yourself, nurture yourself, accept your strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately love yourself, you are on the right track to finding true happiness. This is because you are not dependent on having or not having love relationships to get it. The perfect relationship should be what you have with yourself. Do not forget that relationships with others will come out of that relationship.

Who says loneliness is synonymous with being isolated or not having friends? It can not be less true! Loneliness is your ability to live your way, and it does not interfere at all with good friendships that understand you, love you, respect your way of life and make you happy.

When you choose to be alone, you also get the chance to meet new people because you start trying new activities without company. People who share your taste will surely enrich your life.
