You can achieve better mental health by channeling your emotions with positive thoughts. Mentally healthy individuals demonstrate healthy self-confidence when faced with life’s challenges, and they have a strong will to build lasting relationships with mutual affection for others.

Prolonged isolation and loneliness are harmful except when the goal is to read a good book, practice meditation or take the time to reflect on something that really bothers us.

It provides the illusion of having contact with others while progressively isolating yourself from the outside world.

How to achieve good mental health

The first thing you need to do is take care of your body. Nothing is more telling in this context than “a healthy soul in a healthy body”. Taking care of yourself means that you need to sleep well, eat right and engage in physical activity regularly.

Just as important as taking care of your body is enriching the bonds you have with the people around you. It is important to have active relationships with family, friends and colleagues, and not just make it a habit. Spend time with the people who are important to you.

If you are experiencing stages of anxiety or sadness, it may be helpful to exercise some form of relaxation. It’s not about changing your life and becoming like the Dalai Lama ; Just start with routines that will do you good.

The best thing you can do is relaxation exercises that involve your whole body including long, controlled breathing. This puts you in balance and also plays a role in your ability to develop creative processes.

Reading a book, writing short essays about your daily life, enjoying a musical work at a concert, taking pictures of the sunset or looking up at the starry sky through telescopes are all activities that help you stimulate your emotional intelligence and improve your mental health.

Of course, one of the most important things is to be in touch with yourself. To discover yourself, accept yourself, try to improve yourself and love yourself. Fundamental tasks that will serve as support for the rest of your activities and abilities.
