Sometimes we give everything but get no appreciation

We live in a world that can sometimes feel difficult. There are times when we do things for other people without them showing us any appreciation.

Sometimes we feel compelled to do something for someone, and it feels like something is expected of us. We then try to meet this.

The truth is, however, that many times when we choose to do everything for other people, they do not show any appreciation. We may have put a lot of effort into doing something, but the other person does not care.

There are people we do everything for but who never show any appreciation; we never do enough. If we stop giving them everything they want, they start calling us egotists and saying we do not care about them.

It is worth mentioning that this type of attitude does not always have to do with selfishness, but can also be due to a lack of real opportunities to give something back.

The important thing is to be able to be restrained and not give too much to others. As we have mentioned before, we must value ourselves and be careful about how much we give of ourselves, especially if a person does not show us any appreciation.

How we make ourselves valuable

If we want to be free, we should free ourselves from the selfishness that surrounds us. In other words; just because someone expects something from us does not mean that we have to be accommodating.

First and foremost , we must remember that we do not become better people just because we sacrifice everything. If we do this, we will impair both our physical and emotional health, and it will be difficult to maintain the joy of life.

On the other hand, we should keep in mind that those who hurt us intentionally do not deserve us by their side or that we give them our energy. We do not have to tolerate them; it’s ok to say goodbye, and we will become stronger in ourselves.

It is very natural that after analyzing the problem we feel hurt. We should therefore think about being constructive and not blaming others, but not ourselves.

To get people who treat you badly to realize this, you should start with smaller things, such as being open about how you feel. You do not have to be aggressive when you do this, but simply be kind and determined.

Speak in the first person and start the sentences in the style of “There are times when I do not feel respected…” instead of “You do not appreciate me”.

That said, we need to appreciate ourselves in order for others to do the same. This will help us fencing off people who try to hurt us because we know what we like and do not like.
