Three Types Of Senses, Which Is Yours?

Three types of senses, which is yours?

To speak of the mind is to speak of a somewhat abstract concept that is not clear to many people. It is a word that intends to encompass all processes that take place in our brain: thought, consciousness, perception, belief, desire, feeling, etc. All of these variables make there different types of senses.

The mind is the terrain where consciousness, subconscious and functional processes take place. The mind is reflected in ideas, actions and various manifestations of brain activity.

All this is produced from structured processes. In other words , all this mental activity is not random, but follows patterns or drawings that we learn during the course of life. This does not mean that it is something unchangeable – in the brain everything is receptive to change.

According to how these processes occur , some scholars have suggested the existence of three types of senses: the rigid, the fluid, and the flexible. They all have their own characteristics and are subject to different logic. Let’s take a look at them.

Education is the factor that most influences the configuration of our senses. It is normal for people with rigid minds to also be children of rigid parents. Stiffness is basically a defense mechanism. Fixed ideas give you a higher sense of control and protect you from uncertainty. Those who have these traits are perfect for disciplined work and activities.

Those with rigid minds, on the other hand, may be somewhat superficial. They do not stop analyzing or evaluating the validity of ideas or actions. They assume that everything must take place in an orderly manner, which is also predetermined.

This makes it difficult for them to be creative, which is why they usually limit themselves to repeating themselves. They may feel very confused and helpless if something or someone takes them out of their comfort zone. The lack of control over situations often generates great discomfort, and they suffer from this.

The opposite of rigid senses is fluid senses. They cannot be consistent, and that is why they adapt to what is around them. They take the form of the container they are in. They are characterized by people who have given up all control over their circumstances.

These types of senses are representative of people who need someone to direct them. They have a hard time making decisions or taking a stand on things. They do not know what to think. And because they do not know, they delegate the task to others who they feel have the security they lack.

Those who have this type of mind also have a hard time being determined. They generally do not set goals, but rather let others impose goals on them, which is enough for them. They can be very good at tasks that require a lot of submission. In one way or another, they complement the rigid senses.

Flexible senses are characterized by being adaptable. Being adaptable does not mean that you passively accept what is happening, like fluid senses. The adaptation is well thought out and creative. They know how to place themselves in reality without forcing their will, but without submissively accepting the will of others.

In this case, thoughts guide the actions. Reality is an object that is processed and for which there is analysis and expansion. There is openness to discussions, which means that flexible minds can change their minds and adjust ideas.

These are in some ways certain types of senses that are humble. They do not believe in their own truths, but do not give in to the irrational and wrong because they have their own criteria.

None of us have just one of these types of senses. We all have a bit of them all, although the traits of one are generally dominant. Nor can one say that there are “bad senses” and “good senses”. However, it is good to understand that there are ways of thinking that help us to be happier, while others make us stagnant or dominated by others.
