Not even the quietest person in the world can carry all his feelings in silence. We all need to ease the pressure from time to time and verbalize what is suffocating us on the inside. There will actually be times when you probably know that there are words that suffocate you inside, that hurt you on the inside, but still do not know how to express what you feel. It is as if you were sitting in your throat and your heart does not allow you to breathe.

We have all been through situations like this before, but I can tell you that they will not be forever. Believe it or not, but when you have words that suffocate in your mind, the bubble of pain will eventually burst, and you will find a way to relieve the pain to feel better.

There are so many emotions we feel inside that, whether they are positive or negative, must be given external form so that we can channel them properly. Otherwise, they become words that suffocate you and deprive you of your energy.

It’s strange that just when you have a desire to say something you can not, because the words seem to escape you. However, if you are looking for the strength to hunt for them, you will get them.

It is possible that you only manage to get stuttering, your sentences disappear into thin air and your mouth becomes dry when you try to speak. Or maybe you’re trying to write down your thoughts instead, but they just seem to come out in a jumble and you’re surprised at what ends up on paper.

But words that suffocate you must come out, because it is beneficial for you to listen to and accept them. Until you express them, you will not be able to embrace them, nor will you know how to apply them in your life.

But there are some techniques that can promote emotional relief and help you find inner peace:

  • Be your own advisor: if you think you have the good capacity for objectivity required to analyze yourself, it is likely that a calming exercise for you is to grasp the pros and cons of what is happening to you.
  • Crying: I always say that it is beneficial to cry, but I think it is necessary to understand that it is only beneficial when we are aware that it calms us down. Give yourself the chance to cry until you can no longer cry, but then try to draw conclusions from it.

  • Find peace and quiet: the best way to approach problems is in an atmosphere of peace and quiet. If you are having a bad time, do something that makes you relaxed, such as listening to music and then searching for the words you need to say.
  • Surround yourself with people who love you: it is obvious that it is important to find someone close to you who praises your achievements while empathizing with your failures, fears or indecision. I’m sure there’s someone by your side who’s willing not to judge you, with whom you’re free to speak and be heard.
